Any ideas if it's an openbsd problem or a zebra problem?
It is odd..... The exact version of quagga and config works on 3.3 and
not 3.4. Something changed in the last release that affects
zebra/quagga's ospfd.
As Lars Hansson notes, the old gated port from 3.2 will compile and work
just fine on 3.4. So it is not a case of ospf being fundamentally broken
on OpenBSD, but there is some odd interaction between zebra/quagga and
3.4-RELEASE that prevents it from receiving/processing ospf packets.
I've done some tests and put dumps of the traffic here:
http://obsd.beerfirst.org/zebra/
I'm stumped at this point.
