The ABIT news page (mentioned in a previous post)
refers to the "SecureIDE" device for encrypting hard drive data.

The security, as someone was wondering is just
"40-bit DES (US Data Encryption Standard) is adequate for general users"
Hardware that plugs in between the drive and the motherboard, with a
little removable widget 'key'.
