I've been trying to get an implementation of JBoss running on OBSD 3.3
release, on an old i386. Java is on the box and running and I've tried
both Redhat and FreeBSD emulation. The same code has worked on Linux
and windoze. Security is an issue and thus the attempt to use OBSD.
The server basically starts and then stalls in the startup. SSH into
the machine and top or ps show cpu usage for the parent Java going up,
up and up till it stabalises at 99% !
>From the obsd misc mail archives I found that an issue regarding
multi-threading exists for Java on OBSD, but nothing in depth.
Can anyone offer words of advise?
Online resourses to view?
An explanation of what this multi-threading issue might be?
Should I just throw hardware power at the problem?
Should I just make contact with the hardware and a hammer?
If I can, I'd like to have this work on OBSD.
Thanks Peter
