MySQL fatal error on 3.3

I have read from the Buq Tracking that a patch for the
pthread will solve MySQL frequent crashing problem. I
would really like to do this but not sure how to. I am
new to OpenBSD but familiar with Linux. Can someone
please outline the steps in applying the patch?
The PR number for the bug is 3238.
