wireless card oddity

I just installed OBSD 3.3 on my Sony Vaio PCG-GRX600P laptop and noticed
the wireless card is only recognized in one of the cardslots.
The working dmesg is attached below, the only difference between it and
the non-working configuration is the last two lines where it discovers
and accepts wi0.
The obvious workaround is remembering to stick the card in the correct
slot but I'm curious about why this would happen.
Any ideas?
