having some trouble getting dhcrelay working. interface de1 on obsd 3.3
is connected to wireless access point. de0 is connected to cisco switch
which also has a cisco router connected to it. dhcp server is on a
separate lan connected via t1 through the router. on the router i have
an ip helper address pointing to the dhcp server and if plugged up to
the switch i can get an ip address from the dhcp server. i cant get an
ip address when on the wireless network though. have dhcrelay running
with command line
/usr/sbin/dhcrelay -i de1 xxx.xxx.xxx.248
but i never see a dhcp request hit the server. i have to manually
assign myself an address. ive changed my pf.conf to a simple "pass
in/out all syntax" to make sure its not being blocked there.
any suggestions? ive went through the manpage for dhcrelay and cant
find anything there. does dhcrelay only work on lans and not across
wans? there are no firewalls anywhere blocking it and i do have a dhcp
scope setup for the remote network. dhcp server is the standard isc
dhcp server running on linux.
