recently purchased an ASUS L4000h laptop:
3.2 and 3.3 both crash on kernel load (generic from jewel cd) with the
following error:
wd0(pciide0:0:0): timeout
type: ata
c_bcount: 512
c_skip: 0
pciide0:0:0 bus_master DMA error: missing interrupt, status=0x21
according to:
http://www.asus.com/prog/spec.asp?m=L4000-H%20Series&langs=01
the chipset is a: SiSM650+962
and drive is usual Ultra DMA/100 ..
cant attach dmesg as error occuring at kernel load time
many thanks
