Same here. I also tried with manually compiled 2.1, 2.2,
and 2.3 (beta) version..but no luck. I finally settled
on 1.5.2, which worked. On OBSD 3.1 ipcheck worked fine 
with python-2.2p1. 

I also mailed the author of ipcheck about the problem and
got the following response:

> There may still be problems with your python setup.  I've never seen a
