3.3 - KSpread Problem

I've installed 3.3 and KDE onto my Dell laptop
from the release 3.3 cdrom which I got today.
Everything has worked until just now when I
tried to start up kspread which dies immediately
after I select 'start with empty document'.

Invoking kspread from konsole, I get the error
message 

"libspreadpart.so.0.0: no such file or directory"

I checked the kde3 directory and the file is listed
by the ls command. Any idea what might be wrong?
