sparc64 snapshot packages

I have installed the 20030312 sparc64 snapshots onto my ultra 5 (dmesg
below).
I installed the ntp-4.1.74.tgz package from the snapshot packages
directory, but I noticed that ntpd will not start up. It exits with a
signal 10 (bus error?)
--------------------
bash-2.05b# /usr/local/sbin/ntpd
bash-2.05b# Mar 16 21:46:38 shady ntpd[1692]: ntpd 4_(_dot_)_1_(_dot_)_74_(_at_)_1_(_dot_)_998-r Thu Mar 6 08:24:57 MST 2003 (1)
Mar 16 21:46:38 shady ntpd[1692]: ntpd exiting on signal 10
--------------------
I also installed the php4-core-4.2.3p1.tgz package from the snapshot
packages directory, and this package also exits on signal 10 when I
run squirrelmail. Simpler php scripts seemed to work.
--------------------
[Sun Mar 16 21:13:15 2003] [notice] child pid 28043 exit signal Bus error (10)
[Sun Mar 16 21:13:26 2003] [notice] child pid 17451 exit signal Bus error (10)
--------------------
Are these propolice symptoms or compiler problem -- I read that they
had to build some of the packages with gcc 3.02? Has anyone else seen
problems with these packages on sparc64?
Is there anything I can do to get a functional php and ntp?
Thanks,
Cam
