From the POV of an ISP tech, there'll always be someone smarter and
able to crack the box regardless of what histrionics are observed. The
point is to narrow down the margin as much as possible. If I had the
attitude that it just didn't matter, I'd be running on windows boxes.
And as you probably know then, security through obscurity rarely works.
Stripping banners is a waste of time.
