"man ep" tells:
media 10baseT mediaopt full-duplex
Set 10baseT (UTP) operation and force full-duplex mode.
media 10baseT mediaopt half-duplex
Set 10baseT (UTP) operation and force half-duplex mode.
but is there a way to see if I have half- or full-duplex,
I don't see anything "duplex" in the output below?
simplex:alex {47} ifconfig ep0
ep0: flags=8863<UP,BROADCAST,NOTRAILERS,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
address: 00:a0:24:6b:a8:b4
media: Ethernet 10baseT
inet 192.168.1.36 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 192.168.1.255
inet6 fe80::2a0:24ff:fe6b:a8b4%ep0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x2
simplex:alex {48} ifconfig -m ep0
ep0: flags=8863<UP,BROADCAST,NOTRAILERS,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
address: 00:a0:24:6b:a8:b4
media: Ethernet 10baseT
supported media:
media 10baseT
media 10base5
media 10base2
inet 192.168.1.36 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 192.168.1.255
inet6 fe80::2a0:24ff:fe6b:a8b4%ep0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x2
simplex:alex {49} cat /etc/hostname.ep0
inet 192.168.1.36 255.255.255.0 NONE
And can one have half-duplex and full-duplex NIC's
connected to the same switch? Thank you in advance
