Doh! Xander mailed me off list pointing out it was a SIS card/chip.  I read it
as "sis" short for "sister", as in "My sisters net card can't boot".
Shouldn't respond to email late at night.

Obviously worth a try.  If memory serves I think I tried some NetBSD boot
loaders before I found the hacked pxegrub.  Had no success
then something about OpenBSD changing the booting method from the NetBSD
"original".  But that was a while ago, might have shaken itself out since.

Other than that, I've got nothing I'm afraid.  Other than to mention you can
get Intel Pro100/S cards really cheap second hand now, as in 10gbp posted
(approx 15usd).
