With some luck you can try gatos, <http://gatos.sf.net/>
and ${PORTS}/x11/gatos-bin/ (x86 only).
It enables Xvideo support on ATI cards in XFree4.2. My card only
support XvImage but if yours have a Video-in/TV-in that might work. I
don't know if xawtv supports this kind of device but it seems gatos
people have made something called AVview to do the same thing.
I don't know at all if it works but at least it can be tried.
