What is the best method to disable syslogd, and not have it start upon
boot? I looked @ /etc/rc and saw that syslogd is being called from
this script, but would like to check and make sure that committing (#)
out its entry .....here is the best way to deactivate. This particular
machine is functioning as a NATPD gateway only and therefore I don't see
a need for the syslogd daemon as sendmail is keeping me informed.
Is it safe to do this?
Thanks in advance.
