Intel cards are the only ones that I have run without ever having a problem.
(With the exception of the one that fried by lightening.... Of course the
computer didn't work really well after that either. ;-) But that
encomapasses every operating system I have run over the years, ie Novell,
Linux, M$, and now OpenBSD.
