IDE udma 133 with sis5513

Hi;

I have a new P4 with the asus p4s8x board. The board  has the sis5513 ide udma 133 controler (sis648 chipset).  
I can boot from dvd but disk access does not work (timeout with first disk access on boot ..).

Will this controller/chipset be supported with 3.2 or later ?

PS Tried with 3.0 and 3.1 and found that FreeBSD 4.7 also does not work (same error).
   I also found a posting from a NetBSD guy who claims that 1.6x has the problem.
   Only Linux works (RH 8).
