Security upgrades. Doesn't everyone do it? The other day I Ben Laurie said:
"If people would stay up to date with security patches, this stuff
wouldn't happen."
So this is what I'm trying to do.
I'm trying to find out, from those of you who know a lot more than me,
meaningful info regarding the shared crypto libraries. There is precious
little found on Google searches that indicate the right way of going about
updating the ".so" libraries for openBSD. The supplied openSSL crashes on
make if I specify "shared", however it seesm to work fine if I do exactly
the same on Solaris.

What you're missing is that "SSL, SSH, Apache" are all part of the
base installation. Why are you trying to build them?
