scrollback buffer questions

Hello,

I have a couple of questions regarding the scrollback buffer used by
using [SHIFT]-[PGUP] and [PGDN] in OpenBSD. I've searched the archives
but haven't found the answers I'm looking for so I'm posting to the
list.

1. Is there anyway to configure the amount of buffer that is available
and if so, how is this done and what are the limitations of the
buffer's size?

2. Unfortunately, the buffer seems to get disabled when switching
between virtual screens. I'm not sure how the buffer works, but would
it be possible to have a separate buffer for each virtual screen and if
so, how would this be configured. Otherwise, assuming there is a
single buffer that all virtual screens share, could it be changed to
work even after switching virtual screens?

3. Finally, and a bit off topic I admit, can the scrollback buffer be
enabled on FreeBSD or NetBSD? I'd love to be able to use that
functionality, especially with FreeBSD too. If so, how would this be
done?

Thanks in advance for any help!!
Cheers,
- Dave
