Re: what cpu to buy..



When openbsd3.1 first came out I tried it on a new epox board
that supported DDR-333 and the boot had problems, wasn't
sure if it was hardware, so I put the next lower speed DDR, 266
memory and it worked fine (was a dialup firewall and would
have worked w/ a classic pentium adequately)  Probably was
a board problem...
btw, I was using a AMD 1400 w/ fsb 266 because it was
optimum for price on the low end, but the XP prices are
lower now that it was then.
