3.1 install doesn't see ST19171WC ?

Trying to install on Seagate ST18171WC with SCA adaptor
on a AHA29160 and it starts the process but when it's time
to pick a HD there is no options as the drive isn't an option.

Boot up shows all scsi devices just fine as this is a ASUS MB,
Intel PIII 1GHz w/512 megs ram, ATI Radeon VE, 3c905b, etc.
Linux sees the HD and I can install RH or SuSE on it without
a problem. 

Any ideas ?
