perl 5.8.0

Perl 5.8.0 is out, http://dev.perl.org/perl5/news/2002/07/18/580ann/ .

Does anyone have any gotchas to look out for when installing this on 
openbsd 3.1? I read the release notes and INSTALL file 
(http://dev.perl.org/perl5/news/2002/07/18/580ann/INSTALL.html), and it 
looks as simple as running
configure (without any extra options - install defaults to /usr/bin/perl)
make depend
make
make test
and finally as root, make install.

Is this correct? Anybody have any recommended switches for configure?
