I changed xdm_flags=NO to xdm_flags="" in rc.conf and my /etc/ttys to look
like this (abbreviated of course):
# $OpenBSD: ttys,v 1.16 2001/02/11 19:14:05 aaron Exp $
# name getty type status comments
console "/usr/libexec/getty Pc" vt220 off secure
ttyC0 "/usr/libexec/getty Pc" vt220 off secure
That got me able to log in but then a lot ap apps wouldn't connect to
display 0 until I ran /usr/libexec/locate.updatedb. I also had to chowm
/tmp/mcop-$user so the sound would work in kde. So far so good.

I have the same problem too.
But I have another laptop with XFree cvs updated and I don't have this
