new laptop; new problems (xdm|apm|enlightenment|pccards)

Hi all:

I have bought a new laptop (the first one) and some problems has appeared.
I have installed openbsd3.1 without applie any patch yet. At the end of
this mail you have my laptop dmesg output.

So, This are my questions:

1. I have setup my openbox to launch xdm everytime I boot. But when I
put my login and password xdm say "Login incorrect." spite I put my
correct login and password.

2. When I launch "apm -z" command my laptop goes into sleep mode but it is
imposible to come back from it. Theoretically, I have to press the power
button but when I do this systems reboot.

3. Is there a correct way to remove safely a pccard when you don't want to
use?  I mean, before to take out the pccard.
