GigE Card

I need to stick a GigE card in a new server I'm building. The D-Link 
DGE-500T is available from my usual supplier, supported by the nge 
driver, inexpensive, & generally looking like the front-runner. The 
last test before I actually buy the thing is asking here if anyone 
has horror stories about using it with 3.1, so... Horror stories 
anybody?
