One of our servers has been crashing at random intervals. It usually drops
into ddb (even though I have an entry in /etc/sysctl.conf telling it not to -
why doesn't that work?). Usually, I see something similar to the following
on the console after a crash:
vm_fault(0xe1196100, dead0000, 3, 0) -> 5
kernel: page fault trap, code=0
Stopped at _vm_page_insert+0x94: movl %ebx,0(%eax)
ddb>
Up until now, I haven't been able to run a trace since I had debugging symbols
disabled in the config. I have since reconfigured and recompiled the kernel
to include symbols - just have to wait for another crash...
Oh, and what do I do with files in /var/crash - how can I use them to debug?
