OK, this has got nothing to do but the problem at hand but 3.1 will do
transparent proxying as well. My ISP forces me to use a proxy server so
I just use transproxy from ports with a port redirection in pf, this way
none of my local http clients need to be reconfigured. There shouldn't
be any problem running squid and transproxy together to do tranparent
proxying either. Let transproxy listen on port 80 and redirect to the
squid cache, should run fine.
