3ware 6800 Escalade IDE RAID working great in OpenBSD 3.0.
That's all I wanted to say.
(People usually only write to say they have problems.)
8 60-gig IDE drives on it, in a RAID 5 array.
Gives aboout 420 gigs. Shows up as a SCSI device in OpenBSD.
Churning away wonderfully.
I've backed-up 200 gigs of files on it so far.
I'll email if it has a problem, but just wanted to let everyone know it
seems great so far.
420 gigs of RAID5 storage = $1100 USD.
($300 for the card. $800 for 8 60-gig drives.)
