Are there any docs related to non-source upgrades?
The installation docs seem to only address new installs (and they do a
great job).
The upgrade mini-faq seems to address upgrading to -current via source.
I installed 2.8 from tgz files in the spring and now want to upgrade to 2.9
I went ahead anyway (on a test system)! I did fresh install of 2.8 on test
system; downloaded various tgz files for 2.9; created the 2.9 (i386)
floppy, booted from it; and upgrade appeared to go ok - at least the system
rebooted!
During startup, I got:
starting network
route: home: bad value
...and...
starting network daemons: sendmail httpd inetd Disabling protocol version
2. Could not load host key sshd.
And when I try 'ps' command, I get:
ps: proc size mismatch (16800 total, 692 chunks)
