stray interrupt 7

I have a strange problem.
When I boot my machine without a serial console everything works fine
but if I boot it with a serial console I get "stray interrupt 7"
messages as soon as the disk checks start.
I've tried both with GENERIC and a custom kernel and both have this
problem, It is also not specific to this machine but occurs on all my
Poweredge 1550 machines.
Should I be worried or is this just more of an annoynce than a real
