Give the su binary the set-user-ID on execution bit along with what it
already has by doing 'chmod u+s /usr/bin/su'. You might also want to
'chgrp bin /usr/bin/su'.
> my groupfile: wheel:*:0:root,%user%
Assuming those %'s aren't actually in your group file, it looks fine.
