Hi, this scenario won't work.
Remember, a bridge/switch is a layer-2 device. You try to connect different
(sub-)nets together (layer-3); thats why You have to config You box as a
gateway. You have to enable ip.forwarding and to config Your boxes with the
ip from Your gateway for each subnet.
(route add 22.214.171.124 10.10.10.1 or route add default 10.10.10.1 for each
machine in this net)
10.10.10.0 < --- > (10.10.10.1 gateway 126.96.36.199) < --- > 188.8.131.52
(route add 10.10.10.0 184.108.40.206)
Note, if a machine in one subnet try's to connect a machnine in the other
subnet it send the packets to it's (default) gateway. The gateway forwards
the packet with the source-mac from itself, not from src-machine; et vice
A bridge/switch only connects machines in the same subnet together (based

I am trying to simulate an open BSD machine as a
bridge and have been running into all
kinds of problems.
The things I have tried and the results.
I have 2 NIC cards in the machine. I have assigned
each of the NIC cards a different IP address and
connected them to different networks. The bridge does
not forward packets from one network to another.
If NIC card1 has Ip address 10.10.10.10 and NIC 2
has IP address has 220.127.116.11, packets from any
machine on the 10 network are not sent to the machines
on the 20 network and vice versa.
I have tried it with not assigning IP address to the
NIC cards, it works in the case all the machines are
on the same IP network. (if all are on 10 network )
I do not know if I need to assign an IP address to
the bridge interface ? If yes please tell me how i can
