It's somewhat funny, in a real dark way, how much USA-centric this whole
I mean, there has been terrorist activity in lots of corners of the world
for YEARS now. AFAIK, the english still have trouble with it. France had
a lot of trouble a few years back. I should know. I live in Paris,
I routinely get through quite a few places that were bombed at that time.
and obviously, victim families from the WTC and Pentagon destruction
and that other plane crash deserve quite a lot of sympathy.
Granted, the WTC is somewhat larger in scale.
But still, to outlaw cryptography without backdoors just because of it ?
It looks so much like a case of
