SoundBlaster Live/EMU10k1 devices

Hi-
i've found numerous references to people attempting to adapt the FreeBSD emu10k1 driver
for OpenBSD, but no solid information about whether they were successful.
I see from the OpenBSD website that mickey_(_at_)_openbsd_(_dot_)_org is working on it, but
an email to him has yet to be returned.

I understand that this is a low-priority, as security and listening to mp3's
could be considered mutually exclusive

being secure sure is quiet around here ;-(

Any updates?
