This is getting strange.
I'm now working with the following:
% cat /etc/rc.conf.local
xdm_flags=""
shlib_dirs=/usr/local/lib/{pth,mysql,kde2}
And sometines (!?!?) I can add the line:
sendmail_flags="-bd -q30m"
and it will work, sometimes I get the "init: /bin/sh on /etc/rc terminated
abnormally, going to single user mode".
It seems odd that it behaves inconsistently.
It sometimes happens if I remove rc.conf.local and edit rc.conf directly.
Interestingly, it always works fine if I make NO changes.
