PPP Dialin Problems

I am trying to set up an OpenBSD server to allow dialins on the two U.S.
Robotics 56K Modems. I spent nearly eight hours yesterday working on
figuring out how to set everything up. I finally have everything but the
hardware fully set up. I can set up profiles in the hardware but when I 
reboot something always seems to be different. My question is whether
there is a way to pass "AT ..." commands to the modems at reboot? I was
also wondering if it would be useful for me to put up all the
information I gathered on a web page? Thank for your input.
