Hmm. I tried what Grigoriy suggested, that didn't help, still the same.

Well, I need it at half-duplex. The NIC is attached to an stupid 100-only
hub. And if dc(4) is correct then half-duplex is the default.
Doing an 'ifconfig dc0 media autoselect' fails completly, it doesn't even
set the NIC to 100baseTX.
