Way back in 1997, Elias Levy asked about why OpenBSD did not have
Kerberos V integrated in to it.
The answer given at the time was that there was a problem moving the
source code over the border in to Canada.
However, I believe this is no longer a problem, since the authors of
MIT Kerberos V seem to think it can be exported (see
http://www.crypto-publish.org). Alternately, Heimdal is a free
implementation from Sweden (see http://www.pdc.kth.se/heimdal/).
I am attempting to set up OpenLDAP, which uses Kerberos V
authentication, and so I thought it was a good time to ask again
about Kerberos V in OpenBSD.
