Maximum Password Length

BTW, I just got my 2.8 CD, and upgraded my 2.7 box. I just had a couple 
questions.

How long is the maximum password length? I used spaces in my password, 
and it appears to work fine and is pretty long. However, after reading 
afterboot(?) it says that you shouldn't (or can't ?) use spaces in 
mine. I'd prefer to use a long sentence than a shorter one with special 
characters. 

Also, please let me know if this message isn't line wrapping.
