You need to recompile a kernel in order to enable USB support. I don't know
how to install get the sources for a snapshot other than using CVS, but that's
not a snapshot's sources AFAIK. Anyway, I don't know what you're using because
there is not `OpenBSD2.8' `snapshot(latest)'. There's 2.8 release but that's
not a snapshot, and there are 2.9 snapshots but that's not 2.8. I've used the
USB100TX before, you should have no problems with it as soon as you find the
kernel sources (hint: ftp://ftp.openbsd.org/pub/OpenBSD/2.8/srcsys.tar.gz)
