I have the same problems in mutt also. But I tried it in Eterm, and it's
the same, only black and white in mutt. I configured mutt, to explicitly
use colors. I thought it some kind of my own fault, because I'm using
OpenBSD the first time when 2.8 was released, as of this I'm new to this
list. 

Ah ... and sorry for bad english, I'm just a poor german guy :)
Due to this, there is another Problem, with the german umlauts ä ö ü, I
can type them in without any Problems, but when I'm reading the mail
with mutt it displays only ``?''. Very strange.
