actually, a distributed network for this wouldn't be *that* out of the
picture....it wouldn't have to be a formal one, people could just run a
simple client that downloads the port, compiles it, and sends it back (it
could even be a cron script).
but here's a more realistic solution: why don't people just write programs
that are portable from the start? what the hell happened to ANSI C? since
when did bash become sh? i hate linux! aaaah!
