2.8 and ThinkPad 390X problems

Hi,



Recently I found a good working pcmcia card for my laptop. In 2.7 it
works very well. With the installation of 2.8 it did not work anymore
(so as my modem card). This week-end I checked with Wim Vandeputte and
Camiel Dobbelaar also other pcmcia card (like 3Com etc). Also these do
not work with the generic kernel nor with the bsd.rd. The problem most
likely sits in the cardbus/stuff, (in combination with my hardware)
because the same cards do work in an acer notebook running 2.8....

The note book is an IBM ThinkPad 390X (type: 2626-L0G)

The funny thing is: it _does_ work with the floppyC28 !  Therefore I
have attached the dmesgages from floppyC28 (dmesg-f), generic 2.8 kernel
(dmesg-b) and the dmesg of 2.7 (dmesg-27), hopefully by adding this info
it will be possible to see what is going on/wrong.
