Hangs with 2.8-beta & -current

Sorry for my bad english... O:)

After I installed the 2.8 snapshot (by the end of October, don't
remember the exact date) my machine start to hang completely at random
times (from some times a day, to hours, even 10-20 minutes) after

I upgraded to 2.8-current from sources last week and same results.

This weekend "downgraded" to 2.7 and works ok, no more hangs. Upgraded
via source to 2.7-stable and works ok too.

Searching misc@ I've found a message saying that performance with 2.8
in a MB with a VIA MP3 chipset was poor, and another about hangs that
go away after changing the HD. But no explanations of why.

Below is my 2.7's dmesg (kernel recompiled without a lot of
things (SCSI drivers and ethernets).

Any ideas of what's going?

BTW: My AverMedia is a TVCapture/98 and was not recognized until I
changed line 5351 of sys/arch/dev/pci/brooktree.c to:

#define VENDOR_AVER_MEDIA 0x1461

(was 0x1431)

I don't know if there is a better way to do this...
