Re: Question about modem setup

Hi Theo,
I tried the snapshot floppy, the dmesg now reports:
"US Robotics 3CP5610" rev 0x01 at pci0 dev 13 function 0 not configured
I have also included a copy of the entire dmesg output.

Thanks!

Can you try a snapshot floppy, and reply with your status AND this entire

Hi,
I have a question regarding setting up a PCI modem in openBSD.
It is not a winmodem. It is manufactured by 3Com USR, called
PCI Fax Modem. It runs under linux without the need of special
software. But I have problem setting it up under openBSD using
generic kernel. I don't know if the kernel detected it or not? and
if detected, where is it assignment to?

I looked at the dmesg output, and there is a suspicious looking output
 >>unknown vendor 0x12b9 product 0x1008 (class communications,
 >>subclass serial, rev 0x01) at pci0 dev 13 function 0 not configured
Is this my modem?
I checked on the mailing list archive, there are a few people who
experienced similar problem setting up their modem. But I didn't
find any solution to it :-(

Here is the output from dmesg:
