Re: testing for 2.8

Installation of v 2.8 from ftp://ftp.de.openbsd.org (Berlin), Oct 23,
(from an msdos slice) in an IBM Aptiva, P2-400, was without problems;
ethernet card was an RTL8019, working at ne3 (not ne1) = I was able to
connect to ftp.de.openbsd.org; dmesg is given below. Also, g77 run
without problems ('g77 -o h1 h1.f sub1.f').

---
Additional information:
The disk geometry is (chs) 784,255,63, with msdos plus winnt at wd0i
and free space between (chs) 657,0,1 and 783,254,63 (996.2 MB).

>From earlier CD installations (2.6 and 2.7), I remembered OpenBSD being
not too happy when the last available cyl (783) was included in fdisk,
so, again, just the space between (chs) 657,0,1 and 782,254,63 was used.

This IBM ('designed for win98 and winnt') didn't allow linux (SUSE 6.4,
yast 1 and 2, and redhat 6.1) to run installation tools (screen froze).
