Hello everyone,
I recently changed to a new ISP here in Germany (not much of a choose
anyway) and I've found that I can not connect to most IRC networks anymore.
They require you to use identd.
My question,
I have identd running on my firewall and I can connect to DALNet (for
example) from my Firewall (running console IRC client). Unfortunately, my
machines behind the firewall cannot.
Therefore I believe there's a rule missing from ipnat.rules. I've been
wracking my brain on this for a while and haven't been getting anywhere.
network:
tun0 = dynamic IP, Internet networking card
ed0 = firewall box networking card that connects to my NAT'd network
192.168.0.* = other computers
This is what I have so far:
# /etc/ipnat.rules
rdr tun0 0.0.0.0/32 port 113 -> 192.168.0.3 port 113
192.168.0.3 being the computer I would like to start the IRC chat on.
inetd is running on port 113
I'd be very grateful if someone could help me figure this out. I'm pretty
new to ipnat and I'm struggling with the manpages pages (but links or
literature tips would be great too). Thanks in advance,
Al
