Pun intended? I am open-mouthed. ;P

Maybe some people feel the need to earn coolness points on the list,
because they don't want their inexperience to show. "Ha ha I'm clever."
It would be very nice to have a FAQ filter on the mailing list, wouldn't
it. An automated reply that says "Read the FAQ, section 8.3" or
whatever.
I find this FAQ less annoying, though, than the fairly standard new user
opening line, "I have been using Linux but it sucks so now I'm upgrading
to OpenBSD!".
To any lurkers on the list who've been considering that: actions speak
much louder than words in this community anyway, the silent few who work
on the code are the big heroes and people like me with big mouths are
right down on the bottom of the pile.
Andrew.
