dmesg as requested. tests ok under linux (i thought i'd check it there
lest that "LT" business mean winmodem). pccom0 is the real metal serial
port. pccom1 is where the winmodem would detect; indeed the settings it
reports are those i've set in the bios. pccom2 (duh!) is the modem card.
someone was asking about a slightly different Zoom card not too long ago,
the only difference was that his card was a 16550a, mine's and 8250...

also, who can i bug about writing drivers after i get really confused? my
maestro card is supported by linux, so i decided to spend some time
dragging in support kicking and screaming... there are also a few neat
tidbits on winmodems at www.linmodems.org. someone's apparently has an
open driver that will talk to a winmodem.
