i do;
the port put smb.conf in /etc/samba/
but my smbd had trouble finding it (I THINK)
so i just manually told it to use it /w '-s /etc/samba/smb.conf' on the
startup line
i wanted encrypted passwords; rather than tweak the win9x reg;
but the perl script to convert passwords to smb.password didn't
produce it quite rite for me.. (i tried once; and gaveup and then used
plaintext password on windows instead)
